its been a while since i last play an online fantasy football. after being 'poisoned' by my friends, this year i set up a team to join the league. this is my current line up for gameweek 6

for this gameweek, i have berbatov in my team (why la i dont buy him before he score THAT hattrick..?) and a surprise package of Dembele of Fulham to partner Drogba in attack. but the problem is Drogba was facing Man City 'The Blue Moon' this week. let see if he can score like playstation game again. ahahahah...

i really hope Walcott do recover fast to spearhead my midfield. or maybe i can sell him first. what do you all think?

i like this chicken rice. the stall may just below the jalan loke yew flyover, but the taste was second to none. if you want to test it, you can come to Pak Harun Stall near the Loke Yew roundabout. you can see many food stall there. go and search for Pak Harun stall. but you have to be there before 2pm coz normally it sold out after that!

This is 1680ZA lens. produce by the legendary Carl Zeiss (CZ) company exclusively for sony alpha range. its full name: SAL16-80 f3.5-4.5ZA

this is the best APSC zoom lens for sony alpha camera. i have to say, i was impressed with its sharpness, color and the range was really useful. since my A550 was sold, it was no point i should keep this lens, although it was the first CZ lens i ever own. so i have to say goodbye to this also...

*i may buy this lens again if i ever bought an APSC camera again. only time will tell

last month, i have to sold off my gear to my friend. it was my A550 that have to make way. although it was hard to let it go, i have to since i really that money to fund for another thing. just before it was sold to my friend, i manage to take a few shot of my ex-camera

it was my 5th DSLR camera that i bought (now i only have one!) and i must say this camera has a good reputation. it was the fastest fps camera i ever own (at 7fps), good handling of high ISO and what i will miss most is the tilting LCD that help me lot especially during a nature outing

what make it stand out compared to earlier Alpha's DSLR is the ON and OFF switch was changed from left side of camera body to its shutter button. almost like nikon camera.

it also has the HDMI port, in which i never use!

unlike earlier Alpha, this camera use SD card and Memory stick (MS) as its medium of storage. lucky me, i have my MS during my purchase of A850, so i dont need to buy another MS.

from top, you can see all the button (almost!) are placed at the right side of camera. for me this is good as i can access the button in one hand only. the magic function that i admire most is MF Check LV. this is really useful for extreme closeup photo that require spot on focus. for macro lovers, this feature are to good to be missed

one thing for sure, i definitely miss my camera so much. lucky the buyer was my officemate. so i may get a chance to keep hold of it again!

Minolta 28153 f4-4.5 : The so-called "Hidden G" - My review

over the past week, i have a chance to own this lens, better known as Secret Handshake among Minolta users. at first, i refuse to close the deal, as i think my current lens served me well. after a while, i think i have to reshuffle my lineup again and this lens comes to my mind. this lens didn't cost me a single RM since i trade it with another stuff but straight away i feel i made a good decision that i wish i never regret!

the lens was very solid as it was made by metal. lucky me the lens was in good condition even the age of this lens might be as old as me! it weight around 750g (quite heavy compare to other lens in it range)

the lens will extend when zooming, but the filter will not rotate when focusing; made it suitable for CPL filter to be used

i put it next to my HVL-F56 flash. it was almost the same height as my flash

it has a macro mode, although the magnification is not that great (maybe 1:2 or smaller). but honestly i enjoy the macro mode the most. the only downside is, it cannot fit equipments like raynox dcr250 coz the filter size was 72mm

what i like the most is, the grip was not like the current sony lenses grip which are dust magnet. i can easily get rid of any dirt that sticks on the grip compare to sony lenses grip

it has 5 contact points compared to newer lens that have 7 contact points. prior to this, the lens are not working in ADI flash mode. only the one with 7 contact points will work with ADI flash mode

the blue line indicate the lens are in macro mode. how to switch it? just push the macro switch upwards while rotate the zoom ring beyond the 28mm limit. while using macro mode, the lens cannot work in AF but just in MF. you can see the MFD of this lens is around 1.5m, but in macro mode, the lens can get as near as 25cm! to release the macro mode, simply push the macro switch upwards again and turn the zoom ring into 28mm limit

some say this lens are prone to flare. this because of there are no hood provided. even the hood thread are not there unless you use the screw hood. but so far, the flare didnt cause me a big trouble

need more? wait for my part 2 review. for the next review, i will try this lens for some photographic test. stay tune...

ok..many asked about what it is. i don't want to reveal it last week coz it still under testing. but i will uncover it now. it was Minolta 135mm f2.8 lens

since sony is a rebrand name of the old skool Minolta, all Minolta mount lens will fit nicely into any Sony Alpha mount (or we used to call it A-mount). Sony itself has its own 135mm lens namely 135ZA f2.8 and SAL135 STF. while the price of SAL135 STF (smooth trans focus) are well over my budget and the 135ZA ('ZA' mean it produced by the legandary Carl Zeiss) is sure beyond reach, the opportunity to own this lens is hard to turn down. the sizes maybe small, but it do bring a big reputation

the size is almost like u stack up 2 50mm lens and almost the same height of my 1680ZA lens

another shot at the lens. still looks great although the lens itself age almost 20 years.

i done a test shot of this lens for the whole weeks, with my sons as a subject. what can i tell u is this lens were really a gem;
since it was a fixed focal length lens (or popular known as prime lens), it should have the best sharpness output compared to zoom lens. i test at widest aperture (f2.8) up to f4 (normally at f4, many lens will start producing a nice aoutput).

this is taken at f2.8. i focus at my son's right eye. the output was sharp enough at f2.8 although there are some CA at its widest aperture.

this shot was taken at f4.0, in which i think the output was at its best. what do you think?

Tanglin - Revisited!

During my school days, i used to come here everytime i come to KL. the reason? my auntie used to work at Tanglin polyclinic and i normally follow her. there are one nasi lemak stall there that attract many customer for their delicious nasi lemak.

so last week, i have to go for a meeting at Jln Duta. while the time are still early, i decided to drop by there and have a plate of nasi lemak at Tanglin. although it was not as nice as they are used to (my personal view ok..may differ from others), it still a nice place to remember the old time there.

Tokina - AT-X 340 AF-II 100-300 F4

Tokina was known as a 3rd party lens manufacturer for many camera brand. nowadays, you can find Tokina are designing their lens to fit mostly for Nikon and Canon mount. recently, they released an Ultra Wide Angle (UWA) lens for Sony/ Minolta mount, but it was long after the last Tokina lens for A-mount was released.

for me, Tokina lens was always give a satisfaction (in term of value for money factor-lah!) as i used to own some Tokina lenses before. they're quickly become a collector item then, so this Tokina ATX 340 AFII 100-300 f4 is surely a collector item.i was lucky to get it via a friend who are no longer using Minolta camera. i'm not pretty sure when was this lens manufactured, but one thing for sure, the build quality was really superb. try to hold it and you will say: "Wow, this is really metal man!". i have no complain whatsoever about the build quality as most of Tokina lenses will guarantee you a very solid build. weight was around 1.5kg. and it have a rotating tripod collar in which you cant unattached it; but you can rotate it freely to suit your needs. it uses 77mm filter thread in which are common for many telephoto lens out there. the coating was nice to as you can see from the picture, its still 'colorful'.

one of the plus point of this lens is, it offer you a constant aperture at f4 at all focal length. it was really useful when shooting at low light condition (ok..f2.8 is a performer at low light, but you have to splash your money more). i once brought it to football match and it doesn't disappoint me. step down to f5 and beyond, the lens sharpness really shown and the bokeh was surprisingly very smooth and milky.

my final say: if you come across this lens, please have a look. it was hard to find it now as only few are left in market. i do know one guy at Ipoh have this, but the lens was fogging and almost impossible to use. i wonder why Tokina (or even sony itself) decide not to produce this lens again. definitely one of my best buy. thumbs up!

**update: i recently have to sold this beauty to new owner to make way for other lens to come. hard, but its true..

tahun ni mmg best sgt kepada sesiapa yang ikut perkembangan English Premier League. lagi 3 game nak habis, masih lagi tak tau team mana yang akan menang sebab ada je twist and turn yg terjadi. kalau 2 minggu lepas, semua 3 team yang kat atas; chelsea, MU dan arsenal ada peluang nak menang, sekarang nampaknya chelsea dgn MU je yang ada peluang sebab tiba-tiba je arsenal kalah dengan wigan athletic walaupun dah leading 2-0 (final score wigan menang 3-2). tak sabar nak tunggu game lepas ni...go MU!

Lama tak update blog ni. sibuk sgt dengan kerja yang berderet2 datang...
minggu lepas (ke minggu lepas2 ek? lupa lak), kitorang satu family saja gatal kaki jalan2 ke i-City shah alam. kononnya kat sini tarikan terbaru sbb diroang kata best. nak tau best tak best, kitorang pun pergilah...

i-City ni belum dibuka sepenuhnya utk sesiapa yang nak datang. tapi tarikan utama ialah kat sini banyak lampu2 yang dihiaskan jadi mcm pokok, binatang dll. sgt seswai kalau nak bergambar dan menghasilkan kesan bokeh yang bulat2 cumel mcm ni

(gambar isteriku jugak yang jadi mangsa..hehehe). tgk tu, mcm2 kaler ada!

kitorang sampai awal jgk sebenarnya. tapi sampai awal pun tak guna sebab lampu belum pasang pun lagi. baik gi makan dulu. dalam pukul 7 lebih, lampu dah mula pasang dan kitorang pun cari la parking untuk kereta kebalku itu. dengar2nya nnt diorang nak kenakan caj kalau nak masuk i-City ni lagi. maybe bulan jun. so kalau sapa yg ada plan nak datang sini, baik datang sblm bukan jun!

F1 2010 practice session-panning

kali ni post gambar kereta lak. banyak jugak yang aku dpt capture, cuma nak process gambar tu, tak ada masa pulak. sibuk siapkan gambar wedding yang kena deliver dlm 2-3 mgg lagi ni.

panning skill ni mmg aku tak pandai sgt. kena betul timing dan mmg kena practice. kalau tak, mmg tak jadi. kalau baru2 lagi nak panning, dinasihat jgn la terus buat utk kereta F1. laju sgt beb! test la kereta kat jalanraya dulu

macam gambar ni, aku gunakan shutter speed around 1/160 sebab kereta ni tengah laju. cara nak panningnya senang dari segi mata, tapi susah dari segi teknik.
1. setkan camera kat continuous focus (AF-C)
2. half press shutter utk lock focus
3. ikut movement kereta sambil half press
4. press shutter bila dah sampai moment yg korang rasa best

cuba la sampai berjaya dan selalu tgk balik gambar yg dah diambil. kalau rasa hebat dah, slowkan lagi shutter tu 1/100 ke, 1/80 ke supaya background akan nampak lebih blur.

contoh lagi...

tgk tu..siap ada api lagi. hahahaha....

2/4/2010: Cuti Good Friday..sangat best sebab timing yang cun sangat dengan free practice F1 Malaysia 2010. utk sesiapa yang tak tau, kalau free practice ni, visitor tak payah bayar tiket untuk masuk. dan yang paling best, boleh bawak kamera masuk ke dalam litar! yes...dah 2 tahun aku join sesi ni.

tahun ni pergi dengan kawan kamera jugak, fuad, yang drive kereta dia sampi ke sepang. lepas sarapan kat LCCT, terus ke Litar Sepang dan jumpa lagi kawan2 yg lain. dia punya bising mmg tak hengat. tu la penangan tak bawak/ beli earplug!

anyway, memula aku nak post gambar cik-cik penyeri kita kat litar ni dulu. ada jugak la subjek yang best selain daripada kereta!

tak ingat nama dia, tapi dia jual rokok! comel2 je orangnya

din beramboi ni mmg salah seorang comedian melayu yang sangat aku minat. memanglah, mulut dia tu mmg agak laser sikit...tapi lawaknya yang bersahaja mmg menepati citarasa aku ni. paling aku suka bila tengok rancangan Spontan (Astro) dan kebolehan suara kelakarnya dalam siri Telematch (Astro jugak). dan kalau tak silap, baru je dia habis menjalankan tugas sebagai seorang juri tetap dalam Raja Lawak 4. dan akhirnya, dia selamat dikebumikan di Tanah Perkuburan Islam Taman Ehsan, Kepong dalam pukul 11.40 pagi, 2 April...Al Fatihah...

Astro 801: Saluran sukan Malaysia pertama

26 Mac 2010; Datuk Ahmad Shabery Chek merasmikan satu-satunya channel sukan 24 jam Malaysia. saluran ni mmg dikhaskan untuk acara sukan di Malaysia dan yang berkaitan dengan atlet Malaysia yang bertanding dalam acara-acara sukan antarabangsa. so far, sangat memberangsangkan sebab game-game siaran langsung banyak juga ditayangkan yang berkaitan atlet Malaysia. dan perlawanan bola sepak liga Malaysia pun ada jugak ditayangkan (teringat zaman semi-pro dulu..kalau ada live kat TV, mesti tak miss!).

Harapnya, lepas ni ramai la orang kita ambil tahu pasal sukan Malaysia!

Wayne Rooney could be rested for Manchester United's trip to Bolton Wanderers on Saturday amid fears that his niggling knee injury is getting worse.

The striker limped away from Old Trafford following Sunday's 2-1 victory over Liverpool and is thought to be suffering from an inflamed tendon.

Rooney was initially informed the knee issue would clear up in one month but the irritation persists. Although the problem does not prevent him from playing for United, it is causing discomfort and swelling after matches.

The 33-goal striker is central to United's hopes of winning silverware this season and with a key clash with Premier League title rivals Chelsea and a Champions League quarter-final against Bayern Munich on the horizon, Rooney may well be spared Saturday's trip to the Reebok Stadium.

The knee problem first arose ahead of the Carling Cup final and Ferguson left the 24-year-old on the bench to give him a rest but had to call on his services after Michael Owen got injured just 30 minutes into the match.

Rooney then played again on the heavy Wembley pitch days later for England and was criticised by United boss Sir Alex Ferguson for staying on for 86 minutes of the friendly against Egypt.

United are unable to give their star player much rest during the title run in and with just 80 days to go before the World Cup starts England coach Fabio Capello will be keeping a close eye on his prized asset.

ingat di hati nak beli body camera yang baru. budget tu ada la sket, tapi tak tau nak pilih yang mana dulu.

opsyen 1: beli body dulu..tapi kalau nak beli body, lagi best kalau ada liveview. sbb body skrg guna viewfinder je. so opsyen yang ada:

sony alpha A550. sgt best sbb ada feature yang aku berkenan. MF check LV la, 7fps la. harga around RM2.3k body only

..atau yang ni pun ok gak sebab orang dah mula jual murah. bleh tahan la utk backup body, cuma ISO performance ada sket kureng. boleh dpt dlm RM 1.3k ++ utk body je.

opsyen 2: beli lens dulu, body kemudian pun takpe...

hmmm..bab lens ni mmg agak susah sbb asyik berubah je pilihan hati ni. ke nak sambar ni dulu:

boleh guna utk macro dan bleh jugak bwk utk portrait. harga belh tahan la dlm rm1.5k (baru). nak jumpa 2nd mmg payah sbb jarang sgt org nak jual lens ni

2 mac 2010...dah mula exam untuk anak2 murid aku utk ujian bulan 3 ni. yang tak bestnya, bermulalah episod menanda kertas yang paling aku tak suka. biasanya kalau menanda kertas bahasa melayu ni mmg aku akan ambik masa untuk siapkan.

fikir2 balik, nak je kembali ke opsyen sebenar aku; mengajar matematik. tapi apa kan daya, kat sini cikgu2 'otai' matematik banyak. terpaksa la memendam rasa. hehehe

Port Dickson (PD) ni salah satu tempat yang aku pernah pergi 2-3 kali sebelum ni, tapi tak pernah pergi ut vacation. sblm ni mesti pergi sebab urusan kerja. since wife pun cuti jugak minggu tu, kitorang gi la melawat PD yang jauhnya dlm 2 jam drive daripada KL. joining us, mak mertua aku dan adik ipar aku yg 2 orang tu lah

kitorang sewa apartment kat Ancasa Resort ni. boleh tahan la kat situ. boleh dapat bilik sea view lagik!

ni gambar masa petang2 sket drp balkoni bilik. camera aku, mmg aku bwk tapi tak shot banyak sgt sebab banyak gambar guna cybershot je..

3 feb - draf soalan kena hantar kat boss
5 feb - bengkel EMIS dan hantar borang maklumat
6 feb - IT maintainance check
7 feb - taklimat PTK BPPK
8 feb - bengkel OPMEN
11 feb - taklimat PTK peperiksaan
13 feb - shoot nikah cousin
14 feb - shoot sanding cousin
17-18 feb - family trip PD (nasib baik yg ni dpt rileks)
18 feb - mula daftar PTK peperiksaan
20 feb - makan malam amal SMKA Slim
22 feb - prize giving utk IT competition
24 feb - kursus MS word 2007
28 feb - tamat daftar PTK BPPK

...dan beberapa perkara ad-hoc yg mesti akan ada in between semua workload ni..huh!!

anyway, cerita ni masa aku keluar beli barang rumah kat tesco ampang. tengah membelek2 nak beli bateri tesco (yang kaler silver-biru tu), ada la sorang nyonya ni datang dekat dan tanya soalan..

nyonya: do you think the price is really this? (sambil menunjukkan bateri tesco yang kaler putih tu kat aku)

aku: yes la auntie...why you ask me like that?

nyonya: no lah..so cheap arr this china brand. i dont buy china brand la coz the quality is so bad lah.

aku: you get what you pay lah auntie. you pay more lah if you want quality. then go for this la (aku tunjuk bateri eveready - konon2 kualiti lah sikit. made in malaysia maa!)

nyonya: malaysian made also sometimes not good meh..my friend arr, bought a malaysian car recently and the quality is not good..

aku: then which brand you prefer auntie? japan ok ka?

nyonya: japan also quality are dropped la. you see, even toyota called back their car recently to fix brake la, body la...

aku: then, what option you have? europe and US la auntie..spend la more money for it

nyonya: you really think this europe and US got quality ka?

aku: dont know la auntie..you said japan bad la, malaysia bad la..china for sure lah..you wanna buy battery for what auntie?

nyonya: for my alarm clock la. do you think this tesco worth it?

4/1/2010: sesi sekolah dah mula. maknanya aku dah start keje balik. best jugak cuti lama ni. tapi bila dah lama cuti ni, lambat la sikit enjin nak panas. apa pun, dah tangggungjawab, kena la buat.

bulan 12, balik ke kedah pulak. actually, ada tujuan sbnrnya. sebenarnya ada job shooting orang kawin kat Pokok Sena. since dah sampai Kedah tu, balik la kampung mertua terus. esoknya pulak, kiotang gi Langkawi for a day trip. gerak dari jeti Kuala Kedah awal la dlm pukul 8 pagi sbb lewat2 kang, pukul berapa pulak nak sampai kan.

ni masa dlm feri. sejuk bukan main. ada ke diorang pasang citer hantu dlm feri nak gi Langkawi utk seronok2, suka2? tak matching langsung!

cuti yg lepas ni, aku ada balik ke kg di perak. unfortunately, kat area teluk intan mmg takde tempat yg menarik sgt except menara condong lah. borak punya borak dengan mak dan adik2, kitorang nak gi Teluk Batik lah. last time ke sana rasanya dah banyak tahun la. tapi dulu2 masa sekolah, mmg selalu jugak kitorang satu family gi sana.

drive dlm 1 jam ++, sampai la kat sana. punya la banyak perubahan. dah lagi best la rasanya.

ni Dataran Teluk Batik..so tempat aktiviti mcm mini konsert ke, apa ke buat kat area sini la. ada stage kecik berdepan dengan landmark ni

nampak tak yg sebelah kanan ada bumbung tu. tu la dia punya stage!!

wife dan anak. muncung je si zafran ni. nak gi main bola la tu!

tak turun mandi pun sbb time tu panas dan malas la nak berkerak badan. tau2, time kitorang nak balik tu, beratur panjang orang nak bilas badan. nasib baik tak turun mandi. nak best mandi, layan air terjun baru kaw!

bulan 12 mmg best sebab aku akan cuti panjang. 1 bulan ++ . mcm2 boleh buat. start cuti sekolah, aku ikut trip ke Taman Negara Pahang. trip ni sebenarnya untuk student catur dan IT sekolah, tapi aku ikut sebagai guru pengiring. first time ke sana sbnrnya. perjalanan dlm 3 jam lebih tu ta terasa sgt sebab tido dlm bas..hahaha..

ni sbnrnya kat jeti Kuala Tahan tu. seberang sungai tu baru Taman Negara. tapi first destination kitorang bukan kat sini...kitorang singgah TRV Motel dulu..

haa..ni la TRV MOtel tempat kitorang menginap. not bad la utk budget punya rate. ada 2 tingkat; yg ni tingkat bawah. yang atas cantik dan nampak mahal sket. siap dengan aircond. tapi kat sini, kalau mlm2 takyah aircond pun takpe. sejuk dah

ni member aku, Temah naik tgk bilik kat atas. last2 dia pun kena tidur kat tingkat bawah jugak. ahahaha

ni bilik yang tingkat atas. yg duk bilik ni kitorang punya bos no 3, Pn. Gan. kitorang duk bilik bawah je..

esoknya, kitorang mula trekking kat hutan simpan ni. nak ke sana, kena naik bot dulu seberang sungai tu. since aku membesar dengan sungai, tak heran sgt la. tepi bebudak yang ikut tu bukan main excited lagi. ye la budak bandar la katakan!!

akhirnya sampai la ke seberang sana

sampai kat sana, terkejut gak mula2 sbb siap ada resort la, cafe la. tak rasa mcm dlm hutan lak. tapi bila dah mula masuk ke dalam, mmg hutan pun!

jalan punya jalan, jumpa perkampungan org asli. diorang ni puak batek (dari kategori asli negrito) yang suka pindah randah. 3-4 bulan sekali pindah. tu sebab rumah diorang ni mcm pondok je. diorang punya ketua (tok batin) tunjukkan cara nak buat peluru sumpit. semua guna material dari hutan je. kreatif!!

dah siap peluru, apa lagi. kasik test la! aku pun tak lepas peluang. mana la tau ada bakat menyumpit ke..hahaha..and to my surprise, kena target! ingatkan tak kena sbb mcm goyang je sumpit tu masa hembus.

amacam?? ada gaya tak?

sblm balik, kitorang ada la bagi buah tangan sket kat orang asli ni. tak ramai sgt diorang ni. kalau tak silap dlm 30 org je. tapi kalau ikut kaa instructor yang bawak kitorang ni, puak asli ni kalau kena gaya dpt duit banyak jugak tau. kalau ada yang datang melawat, mesti ada habuan punya. cuma tu la. diorang ni jenis tak pandai guna duit. ye la, nak menyimpan pun jauh nak gi bank. hehehe

sblm balik ke KL, singgah pulak kat Kuala Gandah. buat apa? tgk gajah la, apa lagi..actually tahun lepas dah pernah pergi sini, tapi tak dapat join aktiviti dengan gajah sbb datang dah lambat. tahun ni kitorang datang awal.

tapi aku tak join sebab sibuk ambik gambar!!!
